Baptiste is twenty-eight years old, twenty-five of whom have passed in apnea, in an unknown suffering. Suddenly memories of rape resurfaced. He was 4 years old when his lifeguard stole his childhood in a municipal swimming pool. Rather than ignore and survive, Baptiste decides to face and live. Then begins an intimate quest, in the depths of her vulnerability, to reconstruct her hidden past and extricate herself from this nightmare. She will lead him, three years later, on the track of the aggressor.
In this poignant documentary, the journalist Baptiste de Cazenove decided to tell his story, without make-up. That of a four-year-old child raped by a lifeguard, and who will spend the next quarter of a century in "apnea", struck by traumatic amnesia. Faced with the violence suffered, his brain somehow buried this memory, which did not resurface until twenty-five years later. It is a film that he wanted "like a cry" addressed to society, as much as to the little 4 year old boy that he was, to tell him that "it was not all in vain".
The screening will be followed by a meeting with co-director Baptiste de Cazenove and Mie Kohiyama, founder and president of Moi aussi Amnésie.
