📍 Sunday December 13, at 5.30 p.m.
63, rue Beaubourg 75003 Paris
📖 July 12, 1963, Aix-en-Provence. Charles Trenet has lunch on the terrace of the restaurant where he has his habits. A few hours later, the singer was arrested and then thrown in prison.
He is accused of immodest and unnatural acts on minors under the age of twenty-one. The next day, the rumor swells. A certain press fills its columns with it, confusing, with the desire to confuse them, "pederasts" and "pedophiles".
👤 In this story imagined in the first person, Olivier Charneux accompanies a wavering man and reminds us how unstable our customs are, our laws sometimes unsuitable and our judgments often brutal.
Olivier Charneux is the author of novels published by Stock, Grasset, Seuil and Robert Laffont.
