By inviting artists whose proposals, references and imaginations are not those of the dominant heterosexual norm, Jerk Off offers the public other visions, other stories. The representation and visibility of sexual minorities in the cultural field are the main issues of this festival.

Also, just to get in the mood before the start of the festival (which begins September 4), Jerk Off offers a pre-launch party on August 30 at Point Ephemeral.
Come to discover the programming, attend an evening of spectacles and performances in the form of a stroll throughout the place and meet the artists.

All while drinking shots: what's more exciting? 😁🍻

On the program of this evening:

• Nicolas Petissoff - Block: 19h30 - 10 euros in pre-sales / 12 euros on site (Sound reading)

"Unlikely. On September 19th, 2017, my biological family finds me and I discover a brother and a sister. I, the only child, who defines me by a life already charged in rebound, I discover a past, a mother "daughter-mother" forced to abandon me at my birth, she was 17 years old, she will live with this weight and this pain until his death. Everything is jostling ... My show is called Parpaing: The cinderblock is at the same time a weight, a building material, it is the foundation; it reminds me of where I come from, a low-middle-class industrial zone, Cora, Flunch, Phoenix homes. This environment is the link, the red thread that connects my multiple truths. Bypass is the story of a journey, that of resilience. (Nicolas Petisoff More info: PARPAING // Nicolas Petisoff).
Nicolas Petisoff: conception, writing, interpretation
Denis Malard: artistic collaboration, general management
Guillaume Bertrand: composition and musical interpretation
Emmanuelle Hiron: acting director

• Dominique Gilliot & Damien Rougier - The calm Crawl: 8:30 pm - Free admission (Performance)

Dominique Gilliot's performative work takes a variety of forms and follows logics at the crossroads of scholarly culture and popular culture. In the "Quiet Crawl", she diverts the image of this swimming endurance and effort in a light and funny tone. Dominique and his stage partner, Damien Rougier, will evoke this liquid philosophy mixing words, actions, costumes and songs. Choosing to swim the crawl calmly is also to apprehend the world against the current.

• RER Q: Readings: 21h: 5 €

RER Q is a collective of allied allies around texts / manifests queer / crus / cul. RER Q writes reads and performs, which is only too rarely visible. They detonate the sad genre, the soft syntax, the font of identified identifiable bodies and the official literature. Throughout this narrative schema we discover the station Fulguropoing, the stop Plug me tender and many other words of individuals telling their representation - somewhat monotonous - of gender and sexuality. Audacious and multiple, the collective RER Q makes you enjoy by all the interstices. With Rebecca Chaillon, Wendy Delorme, Camille Cornu, Claire Finch, Etain Zwer and Elodie Petit.

• DJ set of Inappropriate (aka Frank Lamy @ Veronique Hubert): 22h. In free entry

Véronique Hubert and Frank Lamy met in the early 2000s. Véronique is a visual artist, Dj-VJ and event organizer. Frank is curator.
