Catarina is a researcher in quantum physics. She studies sound spaces hidden in variations of light. By immersing herself in images that she distorts, Catarina discovers a new form of sound spectrum, which seems to give her access to another temporality.
With this film, whose title does not mean “slits” as well as “tears” or “incisions”, the Brazilian director Carlos Segundo takes us on a fascinating sensory experience. Through the trajectory of Catarina, a researcher in quantum physics, it is about ghosts, transformation, movement and the inability to grasp reality. A powerful and always surprising work, mixing elegance with seriousness, humor with reverie, in settings of breathtaking beauty.
