The imaginary has always been a literary field favored by minorities, especially LGBTQI + minorities.
The quest for identity, the questioning of gender, the mechanisms of social and political domination and submission, the sidelining of society are recurrent themes in the literatures of the imagination, whether in fantasy, science fiction, or fantasy.
Gender and sexuality questions join feminist themes.
And the birth, or the development, after years of invisibility, wanted or not, of female authors and LGBTQI + minorities in the milieu materialize a fundamental tendency of literatures of the imagination today.
The FantastiQueer book fair and site project was born out of a desire to combat this invisibility.
The Salon will welcome authors from the community. You can meet them, get their books from the Quai des Brumes Bookstore, attend conferences and debates, participate in writing workshops and an entire evening dedicated to Role Playing organized by Sauce aux Jeux.
Participation will be free, with a free box available to visitors.
