Germany. 2019. 95 '. Fiction. VOSTF.
Director and screenplay: Leonie Krippendorff.
With: Lena Urzendowsky, Jella Haase, Lena Klenke, Elina Vildanova.
A summer in Berlin: Nora, 14, calm and discreet, follows in the footsteps of her rebellious big sister and her circle of extroverted friends to follow them in their wanderings: extravagant evenings, drugs, alcohol, love intrigues, first experiences ... she observes, in retreat, a universe to which she feels foreign. Everything changes with the meeting of Romy, sensitive to the singular look that Nora has on the world, and which will transform her.
For her second feature film, German director Leonie Krippendorff signs a seductive lesbian coming-of-age centered on the first lovemaking of a 14-year-old Berlin teenager. In a sensory staging, Kokon succeeds in capturing with grace and far from the clichés, the roughness and the emotions of young Nora, in this moment of metamorphosis that is the transition to adulthood. To the accuracy of the subject, is added a bewitching lyricism which gives this film an irresistible charm.
