Incest: the cradle of dominations *
Interventions followed by small group discussions
Incest swarms, he is everywhere ... but hush! If he is sure that he is forbidden to speak of it, he is less sure that it is forbidden to do so. Incest as a primal tool for training in exploitation and domination in our patriarchal society.
Delphine Merx: doctoral student in philosophy on "The domination of adults over children as a blind spot of contemporary theories of domination".
"Incest is articulated at the intersection of two systems of domination: that of gender and that of age. The latter, often little taken into account, yet completely structures our society, in that children are considered irresponsible and under construction that adults must protect and educate. This conception reveals its limits in the case of incest in particular, in that it is the very people who are legally responsible for the child who are the main aggressor. It therefore seems urgent to get rid of a conception. of the child as a passive object, voluntarily deprived of knowledge because of its supposed purity, to restore its status as a political subject and thereby enable him to acquire the tools to defend himself. "

Excerpts: "The incesteur is a normal man, inserted socially, and in his eyes, his acts are minor. He seeks sexual pleasure and, as an autonomous man, goes to find him where he can find it, where it is easy, cheap, and without need of seduction operations (...). The incesteur is using himself. The incesteur speaks of "games", of "discovery" of sexuality, where there is violence, balance of power and structural inequality. the incestor manipulates, trades and creates a climate of terror. It masks its actions in the family or in the prison and the entourage as well as the justice minimize the violence and gag the victims. (P.71)
