🎬 The trailer:

Drama, Romance / 88min / Mexico / General public
Presented in competition at the Chéries-Chéris Festival - Paris 2019.

When Ramin embarks on a freighter leaving Turkey, he does not expect to find himself in Veracruz, Mexico. Young gay man persecuted in Iran, he hoped to be able to reach Europe. Now that he is at the other end of the world, he is looking to go back, finding it hard to bear having left behind his boyfriend and his past. He experiences paradoxical feelings, oscillating between nostalgia
and the discovery of a new, more lenient environment. To earn some money, Ramin goes on precarious odd jobs with other migrants. It is there that he will meet Guillermo, a former gang member from El Salvador, forced to flee his country, the only way for him to escape his violent past, with which he establishes an ambiguous relationship. Here in Veracruz, they share the solitude of their uprooting through unexpected moments of intimacy.
