SOS homophobie offers you a meeting with Ronan Mancec, author of plays for youth.
In his new play titled The Guardian of My Brother, he tells of the estrangement of two adolescent brothers who no longer understand each other. Who no longer know each other. While Abel fell in love with a boy, Jo does not deny the rejection speeches directed against his brother. He even made himself its spokesperson, until the violence of the blows joined with the violence of the words.
Ronan Mancec's text talks about the fears, sorrows and complicity that shape the brotherly bond. He also invites us to question the weight of gender stereotypes in the identity fabric of adolescents, and the construction of their romantic discourse.
