"Chloé Wary was born in the suburbs of Paris in 1995. The documentary film by Olivier Babinet, Swagger, makes her want to talk about her suburban, with these game women who succeed in being virile while assuming a slightly exacerbated femininity. It is by meeting the coach of the Longjumeau women's team during a BAFA training that she finds the ground of her new history, and reconnects with the pleasure taken in childhood to kick a ball. The coach in question attends the dissolution of the women's club team and sets up a new women's section in Wissous. Chloé Wary enrolls there, dedicates weekends to tournaments or championships, evenings to trainings that mix women from 16 to 35 in a team in full swing. The story and characters of Saison des Roses come from these moments spent in the field, but also memories of high school life in Chilly-Mazarin, at a time in life when one learns to assume his choices.
First professional French player, Marinette Pichon is the best scorer in the history of the Team France with an unrivaled record of 81 goals in 112 selections. She is also a star in the United States, where she spent part of her career and was voted 2002 best player of the prestigious American professional league. She starts a family with her wife and faces all the hardships - both personal and athletic. She has published her autobiography Never Leave Nothing at First in 2018.
Created in January 2012, the association Les Dégommeuses fights, in and through sport, against sexism, homophobia, transphobia and discrimination in general. Determined to change the game, the players are fighting to restore the values of tolerance, sharing and mutual aid, unjustly forgotten football world become obsessed with money.
