"TAKE CARE": the formula resonates in a very strong way in this post-confinement era. It is an invitation to take care of oneself and of others, to put the attention received and given at the center of the world to come.

On September 18, 19 and 20, Manifesto XXI takes over the General Stores with an exhibition, performances, concerts and dj sets, talks and workshops around these exciting and urgent subjects.

Manifesto XXI questions the revolutionary effects of empathy, a healthy love of oneself and others in an age of social distancing and the society of excessive control. The TAKE CARE Festival will therefore be a moment of sharing and meeting around care, benevolence and new forms of emancipatory spirituality.

Care is at the heart of a great intersectional revolution in empathy.
Join us to reflect together on the practices that will guide us towards a society that makes gentleness its manifesto.

The idea of care has taken center stage in queer, ecofeminist and anti-racist struggles in recent years: recognizing the other, their needs, their physical uniqueness and identity, listening and building a new meaning. Common ... These needs structure the dynamics of major current social struggles, and connect them, from Black Lives Matter to the #metoo movement, including the debate around safe spaces or the search for disconnection. So how do you re-enchant the world through a virtuous prism for all?

Artists, sociologists and philosophers explore these fields at the crossroads of spirituality and care. Through a plural curation, we wish to shed light on these imaginaries, in reverse of the false commercial promises of wellness intended for the most privileged.

The ethics of care and its developments seem to constitute an antidote to capitalist excesses and oppressions. With the rise of physical well-being practices ranging from meditation to the rediscovery of witchcraft, care connects us between us and the rest of life by drawing the contours of a sweeter tomorrow.
