Created in 2019, the Parisian association Galipettes, affiliated to the LGBT+ Sports Federation, fights against LGBTphobic and discrimination towards people with HIV/AIDS in sport. It offers its 90 members a friendly and inclusive learning environment for gymnastics.

Some twenty gymnasts from the association will be offering initiations and demonstrations in artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics (GRS) and acroyoga, organized with the support of Pride House :

  • 14h-15h30 - Gymnastique douce/ Sport Santé: introductory workshops for seniors on the regular practice of gentle gymnastics to maintain their health as they age. Divided into 2 workshops, participants will discover a range of exercises for muscle strengthening, stretching, joint mobility and cardio, as well as relaxation, posturology, balance and spatial awareness.
  • 3:30 - 4:30 pm - Artistic gymnastics : introductory artistic gymnastics workshop led by our coach Steve for a mainly adult audience, with warm-ups and movement training (e.g. cartwheels, handstands, front and back rolls…).
  • 4:30-6pm - Acroyoga: workshop and demonstration of the Acroyoga activity proposed for a mainly adult public, with warm-ups, learning the discipline with a few movements, and a final demonstration by 2 coaches (in discussion).

For each activity, we try our best to include our Galipettes members in support of LGBT+ activities and inclusiveness.

Practical information
